Sheppie Snippets: Come and listen how to promote Hinduism

Dr Satish Prakash from the United States of America will talk on Hinduism.

The Port Shepstone Hindu Cultural Federation will host Dr Satish Prakash from the United States of America.

Dr Prakash will give a talk on ‘How to promote Hinduism’ at the Arya Samaj Hall in Andreasen Street, Port Shepstone this Friday, November 3 at 6pm.

A children’s programme will also be conducted the same day at 3pm at the Arya Samaj Hall. Another meeting will be held on Saturday, November 4 at noon and will be exclusively for executive members of temple organisations.

The Port Shepstone Hindu Cultural Federation will host Dr Satish Prakash from the United States of America this Friday and Saturday at the Arya Samaj Hall in Andreasen Street.

British pub night

Seasoned entertainer, Dave Monks, will be doing his show ‘The Great British Pub Nite’ at Mbango this Friday, November 3.

Tickets are available through Karin at Mbango Valley Association. The association will be holding its annual Christmas fete on Saturday, November 25. Stallholders are invited to contact Karin at 082 4510226 to secure their stalls.

Party in the pits

Shelly Beach Lions present an evening of live comedy and music ‘Party in the Pits’ at Dezzi South Coast Raceway on November 4 at 6pm.

Artistes attending the event include Mo Vawda, Deep-Fried Man and Jem Atkins. There will also be a live band, The Gentry. Tickets cost R200 per person. Funds raised are to be used for community projects. For more details contact Mark Brauteseth at 079 9577456.

Tamil Association

For the first time on the South Coast, Port Shepstone Tamil Association will host its Sothacha Mahalutchmee Kutuvalluka and Lutchmee Hawan, Hevilambi Varusham this Sunday, November 5 from 12.30pm to 5pm.

Medical funds needed for Marilyn

 
 

Marilyn Rampersad (29) of Marburg needs a heart and double lung transplant. A fund committee has been elected and the constitution approved and signed.

Marburg Haven will host ‘Flash Entertainers’ at Andhra Sabha Hall next Saturday, November 11 at 7pm. The event is a charity event in aid of the fight against hunger in the community.

Don’s Production from Port Shepstone presents a Bollywood Evening with Shirdika Pillai at the Wild Coast Sun on November 18 at 7.30pm.
