In 1989 when ‘Shila poojan’ ceremony for the laying the foundation of Ram temple construction was organized, the first worship of Shila was done by the Schedule-caste VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) volunteer Kameshwar Choupal. Describing Ramrajya, in Ramcharitra manas comes the verse: ‘Sab nar karahin paraspar preeti’ ( All live in mutual harmony). Emulating this high principal of solidarity of great Hindu body, when in 1966 the convention of VHP was held that the all Shankracharyas; Mahamandaleshwaras ; religious leaders of Jain-Sikh-Buddhism and several others’ were invited from all over the parts of the country. The one who presided over this event was a retd. IAS officer S.Bharnaiyya, who belonged to schedule caste.
Notably, similarly one more convention was held in December – 1969 in Udupi(Karnataka) also. In the virtue of the effort categorically made by the then Sarsanghchalak of RSS, Guru Golwalker, all took the oath of removing untouchability from all the activities of social life . It was proclaimed that all the schedule tribes are the indivisible part of Sanatana Hindu stream. Shri Vishweshwar Teerth of Pejawar matha(shrine) gave a mantra : ‘ Na Hindu patito bhavet, Hindva sahodara sarve. Mam Diksha Hindu raksha, mam mantra samantaa’ (Hindu never gets to be degraded, all the Hindus are brothers to each other. My initiation, Hindu protection; my motto, equality)!
Taking forward this message of harmony or Samarasta to village to village that recently under the guidance of saints and savants to be followed by the common people that ‘Hindu Samarasta Kawad Yatra’ was taken out by VHP in Jawar town of Sihore district (MP) . Started from Murawar Sangam to Devanchal Dham Devbadla, in the Yatra that a satsang was organized in the night as it took halt for the rest. The issues of conservation of Jal-Jungle-Jameen (Water-Forest-Land) and the social-consolidation had been the topics of the satsang. The attention was drawn towards to be keep meeting together at a particular interval , celebrating in social spirit the festivals together and doing satsang together in harmony, removing self-destructive decadent practices of caste-barriers.
Presented prominently on the occasion was VHP’s state organization secretory, Surendra Singh Chauhan. He called upon the people to get organized to deal with the challenges before Hindu Dharma. Through the history and Puranas he apprised the people of rare inspiring episodes of mutual harmony. Last days social media influencer was quoted to have said in a print media , Hizballah has stopped the war, but after having lost all the commanders and arms. Proved that the terrorists know only one language and that’s of Israel. Those giving shelter and advocating terrorism could not be treated different from terrorists. Europe has begun to understand that , others are also required to follow the suit.
However, here one thing is required to bring into the notice that this Israel could do only when its citizen were seen stood unitedly like the rock behind the government. It is only this that India could achieve that the people are required to live in mutual harmony, and consolidated. This RSS-VHP had come to realize long back.
