The 183rd Birth Day of Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was celebrated in all solemnity beginning with Mangala-Arati, chanting of Sri Narayanopanishad, Sri Ramakrishna Suprabhatam and other hymns on Sri Ramakrishna. Being the Janma-tithi day, on February 17, a special puja was performed followed by a homa for the welfare of all beings in the Universe and also Bhogarati amidst chanting of Sri Ramakrishna nama-sankirtanam. Bhajans were led by Swami Satyaloka-nanda, joined by devotees.
Earlier Swami Jitamanasananda did the readings from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna. In the evening, after the Sandhya-Arati, Swami Satyalokananda addressed the devotees in the Temple Hall about Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna.  He quoted a Poem written by “M” and explained with anecdotes of devotees and monks who for the first time came to Sri Ramakrishna. The programme concluded with group-singing of “Ramakrishna sharanam”. 
While meeting the devotees the President of the Singapore Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vimokshananda advised them to keep an attitude of Surrender to the Lord and perform all activities offering the fruits thereof.
At Sarada Hall, 95 devotees had breakfast, 375 devotees had lunch and 322 devotees had supper prasad. A Book Stall was put up at Temple Hall Level 1, where literature on spiritual books were displayed and sold.
