VARANASI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Pranth Karwah Bankelal Yadav claimed that 8000 youths in the country are joining sangh as new member every month.

Reached Varanasi to make the cadre aware about the resolutions passed during last week’s Akhil Bhartiya Karyakari Mandal at Ranchi Yadav was talking to the reporters at Vishwa Samvad Kendra here on Saturday. He said by 2012 only 1000 youths had joined the RSS. After the RSS launched a website inviting youths in its fold four years back, he said, a surprising growth in new membership was evident. Fresh figures are clear hint how the youth are attracted towards the sangh, he added.

He said that with the creation of 10500 new Shakhas in past one decade the total number of Shakhas of RSS in the country had reached to 50,400 and 91% Shkhas has Swayamsevaks of below 40 years in age. The same reasons are sufficient to make the RSS a youth’s organisation. He said that sangh’s swayamsevak have reached to 90% tehsils of the country and 60% of the works of RSS is going in rural belts.

He also highlighted the resolution adopted at ABKM of RSS at Ranchi last week and said that massive differences in growth rates of various religious groups, infiltration and conversion are causing religious imbalance in population ratio, which is mainly evident in bordering areas of the country and generating threat for the unity, integrity and identity of the country. In view of it, he said, RSS has asked the government of India to reformulate the national population policy and prepare a national register of citizens. Hinting towards the on-going `award wapsi’ campaign by a section of litterateurs, historians and artistes against alleged increased intolerance he said that for past few weeks Hindus are being targeted, and false allegations are being levelled on RSS, which is condemnable.
