Never before in recent decades of Hindu history such a conference has been implemented with such a far reaching worldwide scope and magnitude. In the Hindu epics of Mahabharata we see kings of various lands gather together to showcase their military might from Bharat. At World Hindu Congress -2014 we witness intellectual might of Hindu leaders. In 1990’s Dr. Mahesh Mehta (Patriarch of United States Hindu movement) organized Hindu congress where more than 2000 delegates joined hands in Madison Square garden, New York which was of epic proportions in early 1990’s. In 2014 again history was made when under the stewardship of Swami Vigyananand ji (President – World Hindu Foundation), World Hindu Congress -2014 was successfully organized and implemented. The sheer magnitude of World Hindu Congress -2014 was so immense that invited media representatives were seen running haywire from one conference to another as one after the another distinguished delegates from across the globe presented challenges, victories and programs aimed towards global Hindu empowerment.

World Hindu Congress -2014 was unique in terms of the spectrum of Hindu subjects such as media, women, youth, organization, business and other key areas constituting Hindu society. The presenters were subject matter experts of above said fields who have travelled thousands of miles at their own expense to attend this massive Hindu conglomeration. From the congress it can be concluded that the efforts for Hindu empowerment is in the initial phases and much efforts is required to bring Hindus and Hinduism in its past powerful glories history.

For example the Chief Minister from Sri Lankan Northern Province spoke about the dangers of Islamic and Christian missionary nexus threaten the very existence of ethnic Hindu Tamils culture and apathy of Sri Lankan Govt. in supporting Hindu cause. A delegate from Columbia was keen in knowing solutions to integrate Hindu temples of Columbia – solutions such as Hindu Mandir Executive Conference (HMEC) organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America in America. Many delegates from Mauritius expressed deep concern on prevalent Christian culture supremacy on Mauritius job sector where in order to get government jobs in certain sectors dominated by Christians one has to convert to Christianity in spite of the fact that Mauritius is Hindu majority country by population. The media in Mauritius was also condemned as anti-Hindu. Representatives from North America spoke openly on ideological attacks they face from far right Christians, Indian origin Islamic organizations and leftist’s forces which are adamant to defame Hinduism in media, literature and academic works. From Bangladesh, many delegates complained that only 5% of Hindu human rights violations are reported in Bangladeshi media and rest 95% goes unheard. From Cambodia delegates emphasized on saving Hindu temples and places of heritage. Many Yezidis who attended the conference appealed for saving Yezidis from ongoing genocide by Islamic State fighter groups in west Asia. From India, members from Hindu Kashmiri community echoed decade old requirement of establishing Panun Kashmir and rehabilitation of Hindu Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to become refugee in their own country in late 1990’s. From West Bengal Tapan Ghosh, president of Hindu Samhanti compared the state of Hindu’s in West Bengal to pre 1947 era where Hindu’s had little or no voice in political process dominated by Islamists – a byproduct of rapid permeable Indo – Bangladesh border resulting millions of illegal Bangladeshi Muslims.

From the World Hindu Congress -2014 one key point can be concluded after hearing many delegates that Hindus from across the globe do expect Honorable Indian PM Narendra Modi led Govt. to acknowledge, take prompt and concrete steps to assist Hindus in distress in his best of his Govt. capacity towards bringing respect, regards and glory of Hindu civilization. Many delegates lauded Honorable Indian PM Narendra Modi recent actions at national and international level in projecting Hinduism, Hindu scriptures, Yoga, his homage to Hindu temples abroad and cleanup project for Holy Hindu River Ganges. Conference was attended from delegates affiliated to RSS and Non RSS Hindu groups serving worldwide Hindu communities. It was only couple of months ago that worldwide Hindu force uprooted Indian National Congress led UPA govt. from Bharat political powerhouse – a result of apathy for Hindus. Now worldwide Hindu force is working for Hindu issues with much vigor and confidence after appreciating Honorable Indian PM Narendra Modi support and empathy for Hindu cause.

As mentioned by Hon. Ashok Singhal (BhishmaPita of Hindu movement) that “After 800 years of slavery and darkness encountered ever since the era of great Hindu king Chandragupta Maurya ended, Delhi (the capital of Bharat) is now ruled by Hindu patriots”- the global Hindu powers look forward to Honorable Indian PM Narendra Modi led Govt. to realize the statement of BhishmaPita in empowering Hindus in Bharat and elsewhere.

Above said are couple of examples, during the conference hundreds of issues were presented, implying the underlying fact that Hindu resurgence has just started and much hard work is required in a collaborative manner to bring back lost glory  of Hindus in decades to come. One business man who has attended many conferences internationally admitted that at this conference he felt homely as if this conference is for him and society, he also saw regained Hindu confidence and strength among speakers and delegates in speaking openly about the social, political and Dharmic issues they face across the globe. Saints and seers presented offered their best wishes and congratulations to World Hindu Congress -2014 team in bring worldwide Hindu together at one platform and organizing such a massive conference with six sigma quality precision. The state of the technology, infrastructure and management was excellent and conference process was optimized for maximum output. Global Hindus look forward to attend World Hindu Congress 2018 which will be held in United States under the stewardship of Dr. Abhaya Asthana (Senior American Hindu leader and current president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America –VHPA).
