PRESS RELEASE

VISHWA HINDU PARISHAD JAMMU & KASHMIR SHAKTI ASHRAM, OLD REHARI, JAMMU J&K

Vishwa Hindu Parishad strongly condemns the statement issued by Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) , which asks Shramarnathji

Shrine Board to limit Yatra to 30 days. Vishwa Hindu Parishad further takes serious note of the threatening attitude of SABLO, wherein it has shown disinterest in setting up langars during Yatra.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the apex Hindu Organisation of the world, is of a firm view that Yatra should be run for as much days as possible every year; and Yatra duration can not be decided on whims and fancies of any supporting organisation. Langars, are one of the various service areas of Yatra; and some select langars can not dictate the duration and aspect of the Yatra. If SABLO, or any other langar organisation feels it difficult to serve the Yatries for its complete duration, they should withdraw themselves, and let other voluntary organisations take over the cause. There is no shortage of voluntary service organisations in Hindu society for the cause of Shri Amarnathji Yatra. Hindu organisations have the capacity to handle Yatra affairs for 24X7, 365 days if weather and ground conditions permit.

From the statement of SABLO, it appears that this organisation is more interested in collecting money from donors on the pretext of organizing Langars for Yatries and then siphon off the money by providing only symbolic services. VHP, demands a strict audit of donation and expenditure of such langar organisations who are trying to disrupt Yatra duration and discipline, before being granted the permission to set up langars in Yatra area.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad very responsibly conveys to Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board to call for fresh proposals from responsible and reputed voluntary organisations interested in setting up langars for entire Yatra duration without interfering into Yatra affairs.
