Bajrang Dal stages dharna against stone-pelting in J&K

Jamshedpur: Bajrang Dal members organized a sit-in before the office of the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum on Tuesday to protest the incidents of stone-pelting on the Indian Army and paramilitary forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

Leading the agitation programme, the district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Arun Singh said the incidents of stone-pelting were an attack on the Indian government. He said such incidents should be declared as terrorist activities and be dealt with strictly by the government.

The agitators said the Army should be allowed to take appropriate retaliatory action against stone-pelters. They also said that the government should take stringent legal action against organizations rallying around the stone-pelters in the name of human rights.

Among others present during the agitation included Abhay Samant, Hareram Ojha, Janardan Pandey, Sanjay Tiwary, Sarvjeet Tiwary, Santosh Verma, Ashutosh Singh and Bajrang Agrawal.
