The Pandits Parishad of the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha (SDMS) has condemned this year’s winning calypso as an attack on its Hindu leaders and Hindus.

In a media release yesterday president of the Pandits Parishad, Pundit Bhadase Maharaj, said the association strongly condemns Chalkdust’s (Dr Hollis Liverpool) calypso “Learn From Arithmetic” as an attack on SDMS leader Satnarayan Maharaj.

Bhadase Maharaj also said the Pandits Parishad, as theological leader of the SMDS, is supportive of its SDMS Marriage Act.

Bhadase Maharaj also questioned why Liverpool was afraid to attack the Muslim community.

Liverpool’s song “Learn From Arithmetic” earned him the Calypso Monarch title for the ninth time at Dimanche Gras, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, on Sunday night.
