Ujjain : School education minister Paras Jain and CSFOC chairman Makhan Singh unfurled the Dharma Dhwaja at the Valmiki Dham of Pt Umesh Nath Maharaj, on Monday. Guests paid floral tributes at the mausoleum of Swami Sohandas.
Valmiki followers, saints and seers from across the nation will arrive at Valmiki Dham. Mehant Umesh Nath said that ancestors of Valmiki community had conceptualised to found a divine Valmiki Tirtha on the banks of Kshipra during the reign of the then emperor Ramchandbaba Shainavi in 1732. Rituals like regular Sandhya Aarti, Havan Pujan, meditation, Yoga, Satsang, Gauseva, hospitality and spiritual practices have been organised there.
To disseminate the message of environment conservation, Valmiki Dham will use earthen Kulhad during Simhastha Mahakumbh. Lakhs of the followers will use Kulhads to consume tea, coffee or water. Steel plates will be used to serve the meal instead of disposable goods.
