Durga Vahini conducts self-defence camp for women

Durga_Vahini_Training_Camp_145102206JAMMU: Durga Vahini (army of Durga), womens’ wing of Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) conducted Shourya training camps for women.
Durga Vahini claimed to have trained female folk in the age group of 15 to 35 years for ‘self-defence’.

The camp was organised at Dewan Badri Nath Higher Secondary School, Talab Tillo, under the supervision of Sadhvi Savitanand from 1st to 7th July 2014 in which girl students from Ramban, Poonch, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Basohli, Kathua and Jammu participated.

They were imparted training on Pranayaam, self defence, rifle shooting etc.
Convener Rajni Thukral and Zonal Convener, Malti Sharma said training is given to women for their
self defence.

The participants were also addressed by Sushila Abrol, Rita Sharma, Co-Convener Kamalesh Sharma, Bimla Devi, Sudesh and Usha Sharma. Prominent instructors include Kiran Rajput, Shiva Khajuira, Sudha Sharma and Prachi.

Provincial President Hem Raj Khajuria also highlighted aim of training camps.
