Indian Mujahideen (IM) is planning to carry out terror strikes at several historical and religious sites in Bihar like Nalanda, where ambitious project to revive ancient university is underway, and Bihar Sharif.
According to TV reports, NIA probe team seized documents during the raids in a Ranchi lodge after last year’s blasts in Bihar. The documents reveal that the places like Bihar Sharif railway station, Ruins of Nalanda University, convention centre in Rajgir , Jal Vihar , Vishwa Stupa , convention hall in Rajgir and the Jain Temples in Ranchi are on the radar of the terror outfit. The agencies have also found a direct link between last year’s Patna blasts and Bodh Gaya blasts.
Ranchi module of the terror outfit was busted during probe by NIA and other intelligence agencies investing October 27 Patna serial blasts during BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s Hunkar rally.
Recently, JDU leader and Bihar’s Minority Welfare Minister Shahid Ali Khan came under the scanner of Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB) for suspected links with Indian Mujahideen operatives.
The SSB has sent an information to the Special Task Force (STF) asking for verification of the charges against the Minister.
Bihar Police, however, said that it received a letter from the SSB last month seeking verification of charge about Khan allegedly having links with the two IM operatives Jameel Akhtar and Mansoor Sai.
The Special Task Force (STF) had asked the Motihari and Sitamarhi SPs to probe the matter and they had found the allegation as false, Bihar Police said.
Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed a probe into the matter.
