Hindu outfits to stage protest 22 Nov

flag_0Chennai: Hindu United Forum has planned a token hunger strike on 22 November in all district headquarters in the State to bring focus on the ‘atrocities committed against Hindus’.

In Chennai, the protest will be held at Vallurvar Kottam from 10 am. “Till now, 230 people belonging to Hindu outfits have been murdered in just two months. Except in one or two cases, the police neither have made any breakthrough nor have they taken up the case for investigation,” claimed Hindu Munnani Tamilnadu State vice-president Karthikeyan at a press meet here today.

He further alleged that, “Members of Hindu outfits have life threats.” He said government-run temples are forcing people to pay money to take up rituals and preference is given to those who favour them.

Stating that there is a spurt in number of churches and mosques, he said, “Hindus are being converted to other religions and we are holding a protest against all these practices.”

Another member of the organisation said the protest is being held to raise awareness about the injustice happening to Hindus. Ayyappa Seva Sangam, Sai Baba Seva Sangam and other organisations will be taking part in the protest, they said.
