Tribute to great warrior ‘Naraveer Bajiprabhu Deshpande’

Malkapur-Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) paid tribute to the valiant ‘mawlas’ (warriors) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj like ‘Naraveer Bajiprabhu Deshpande’, Phulajiprabhu Deshpande and ‘Veer’ Shiva Kashid; so also his unknown ‘mawlas’ on their 355th martyr day at ‘Pavan-khinda’.

The program started with ‘puja’ by Shri. Ravi Joshi, ‘Purohit’ from Malkapur; followed with Shri. Sadashiv Patil, a chartered accountant offering coconut and flowers. Shri. Shridatta Raut, a historian gave guidance on the occasion. Shri. Sadashiv Patil expressed his wish to erect a shade at that place by next year. Shri. Nilesh Deshpande, the 11th descendent of Bajiprabhu Deshpande and some of his family members viz. Shri. Vaidyanath Deshpande, Shri. Sandesh Deshpande, former Mayor-Shri. Raju Bhopale; members of ‘Shiva-shaurya’ organization, several members of HJS were present on the occasion.

Highlights

Devout Hindus from Pavan Khinda, Malkapur had organized snacks and milk for 1000 Shivaji-patrons attending the program for free.
