Issue of non-Hindus in Garba : Police issue notice to BJP MLA, Raja Singh Thakur

Raja Singh Thakur, BJP MLA from Gosha Mahal and a staunch devout Hindu had made an appeal to organizers of Navaratri Festival celebration committees that they should not allow people from other religions in ‘garba’ programs. Dy. Commissioner of Police for western zone, V. B. Mamalasan Reddy issued him a notice in this connection alleging that the statement made by Shri. Raja Singh Thakur, was provoking. It has also been mentioned in the notice that legal action would be taken if reply to the notice was not received within two days.   

 It’s my duty to appeal to organizers of ‘garba’ programs so as to stop entry of non-Hindus ! – Thakur

 Shri. Rajasingh Thakur said in this connection, “Terrorist organizations have been deceiving and exploiting Hindu girls through love jihad; therefore, I have made an appeal to organizers of Navaratri ‘garba’ programs for not allowing non-Hindus. There is nothing wrong with it and in fact, it is my duty.”
