Kerala fire mishap: VHP calls for help

Chennai: Expressing deep sorrow for the deadly fire in the Puttingal Devi temple at Kollam in Kerala on Sunday, which claimed hundreds of lives of people, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for help from public to help the affected families with food, water, milk for babies/kids and transportation.

VHP International working president Pravin Togadia said, “We deeply share the grief of the families who lost their near and dear ones in the tragedy. We are with them in their time of distress and loneliness. All volunteers of VHP, Bajrang Dal, Durga Vahini, Hindu Help Line & India Health Line are doing all help at the spot.”

As there is a dire need for blood at the hospitals nearby, as many are injured in the fire and debris, donors are requested to report at the medical college, TVPM control room No.: 0471 – 2528300, call Hindu Help Line on 020-66803300 / 07588682181, it said.
