India too should emulate Nepal. We have so many heroes and  great works like Valmiki , Tulsi and Sri Guru Govind Singh written Ramayanas. All of them should be remembered by public in general . Coins, Currencies with their pictures will be one way to keep reminding people general of our great heritage .

The Government of Indonesia placed Lord Ganesha in 20000 Rupiah currency note. Watch

Indoneia is largest Muslim nation in the world which has no qualms honoring their ancestral heritage, But apparently  India does not have any ancient culture or civilization to  honor as far as currency notes are concerned. It appears in official view of secular governments all this time, India became a nation only when Gandhi  got anointed as father of nation. Hence only Gandhi’s picture was seen ad nauseum on all currency notes. Only recently the picture is omitted on some denomination currency notes.
World’s only Hindu nation, until recently at least , Nepal honors Sri Guru Granth Sahib,
world’s largest Muslim nations honors their Hindu heritage,
but only secular socialist republic of India, forbids paying any such respect to Hindu heritage.
Hope along with Himalayan blunders these omissions also get corrected soon.

Best wishes,
