Dear Friends,

Subject: Whither West Bengal—A Part Of India?

We are now seized with what has erupted on the national scene since the accidental burst in Burdwan on October 2, 2014.

But, we have had the occasion also to report to you on the general law and order situation in the State of West Bengal by way of bringing to your notice that the members of the “yet” majority community in the State needed in some parts of the State “permission” from the members of the openly “State-backed” minority community to bury their deads in the traditionally designated for ages burning ghats.

‘May now in the same context like to read the attached account from a friend who has dedicated himself to protect the down-trodden sections in the State both against what seems to be deliberate neglect by the State police, and flagrant violation of the law and order by the “aggressive” members of the minority community in the State.

Friends, we are hopeful some friends in West Bengal will extend helping hand to the concerned.

Well, Tapan, we are all behind/with you in your mission. And, succeed you will.

Vandemataram,

Your sevak,

D.C. Nath

(Former Spl. Director, IB)

(President, Patriots’ Forum)
