Wisdom compassion & equality of Bhagwan Buddha to be inculcated:Alok Kumar

New Delhi, April 30, 2018: VHP Working President Alok Kumar on the occasion of Buddha Purnima today said that world peace can be achieved only through following Lord Buddha’s  teachings of wisdom, compassion and equality.   Alok Kumar while offering prayers at South Delhi’s Buddha Vihar said that Lord Buddha had established a society having No-discrimination through his mesaage of truth, non-violence, wisdom, compassion and equality. These principles have become very important in today’s world for achieving world peace.

He added that last week the newly elected members of VHP had the opportunity to visit Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s diksha bhoomi in Maharashtra. He criticised people who compared Buddhism with Communism and reminded how Baba Saheb himself had termed the comparison unfair. Baba Saheb said that communism is based on force whereas, Buddhism born in pious land of Bharat, is a religion of non-violence and compassion, he added.

The head of Jagat-Jyoti Baudh Vihar, Bhikshu Bhadante Karunanand Mahathero said that Lord Buddha had visited this place hundreds of years ago and it was a great pleasure for his organisation that the Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad had visited the place now.   Alok Kumar had visited this holy place on several occasions earlier too but this is the first time he is visiting the Vihar after taking over as the Working President of VHP and we pray for his success.
