Prohibitory orders in Kushalnagar after RSS worker’s murder

Kushalnagar, Aug 16, 2016, DHNS:
Deputy Commissioner Richard Vincent D'Souza and SP P Rajendra Prasad arrive in Kushalnagar to inspect the law and order situation after RSS worker Praveen Poojary's murder.

Prohibitory orders have been imposed in the town in the wake of RSS worker and autorickshaw driver Praveen Poojary’s murder. The police security has been tightened and additional police forces have been deployed to maintain law and order.

At a discussion meeting with police officials, MLA K G Bopaaiah said the murder has been committed to create communal tension in the district.

Speaking to mediapersons, he condemned the incident and said the country is facing internal threats as well. The police should be alert and check the anti-social elements, he added.

The MLA appealed to the public to cooperate with police in maintaining law and order.

Bopaiah said the issue has been brought to the notice of the district in-charge minister and he has promised to provide suitable compensation to the family of the deceased.The district In-charge minister has also ordered the Police Department to arrest the suspects, he stated.

MLC M P Sunil Subramani condemned Poojary’s murder and urged the police to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad district convener D Narasimha and Bajrang Dal leader Ajit Kumar expressed discontentment over the lack of support by the MLC to the protest by the organisations seeking the arrest of the culprits.

They added that the district in-charge minister has not visited the place so far though he was present in the district.
