Rally for reinstatement of Hindu state



BIRATNAGAR: A rally was taken out here Saturday, demanding reinstatement of Hinduism as the state religion in Nepal.

The Swadharma Culture Protection Campaign Youth Committee, Morang, took out the rally from local Gograha Higher Secondary School premises.

The participants of the rally called for reinstating the Hindu religion as the state religion, more strictness to prevent religious conversion and a halt to killing of cow, considered holy in Hinduism. 

Rally coordinator Baiyanath Gupta said they had been pressing for incorporation of their demand in the new constitution.
