Gandhinagar: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is on the verge of beginning a state-wide campaign to bridge the communication gap between upper and lower caste Hindu groups and communities in the state. District and state level leaders of the organisation have been called in to attend a threeday discussion on planning of the `Samajik Sadbhav’ drive.Key national leader of RSS, Bhaiyuji Joshi is attending the three-day programme which will end with a `Samajik Sadbhavna Baithak’ on January 18 at Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad. The organisation claims that OBC, SC, and ST communities are particularly vulnerable to religious conversion activities, and it is working to bring them firmly into the RSS fold.

RSS has restricted media presence at the three-day programme and the meeting on January 18. When contacted, Gujarat RSS leader Pradip Jain said, “The sangh will focus on increasing social harmony among different communities, and we have requested district leaders to bring along community leaders from their respective regions.”
