Sangh Parivar has a Uttar Pradesh plan for Kashmir

Flag_of_Rashtriya_Swayamsevak_SanghThe RSS discussed issues, including its election blueprint for Jammu and Kashmir, at its just-concluded “Pasayadan baithak” in Ludhiana. The Sangh Parivar, including the BJP, has been trying to expand its base in the state, especially in the Kashmir Valley, and the blueprint, it was learnt, is based on the Sangh Parivar’s strategy in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha polls mass contact and cadre at every booth.

The Sangh, which has been involved in providing relief in the flood-hit regions of the state, has also called in more cadres from across the country to assist people.

At the Ludhiana meeting of its kendriya toli (central group), political events, review of the work done by Sangh affiliates, the coming Assembly elections, including in Jammu and Kashmir, and the issue of “love jihad” also came up for discussion, sources said.

While the BJP’s main poll planks in Jammu and Kashmir are going to be development and job opportunities for the youth, the RSS has been reaching out to intellectuals, religious leaders and various groups to spread its message, without touching upon the contentious issue of Article 370.
The Parivar is trying to highlight the lack of development, depleting business opportunities in the Valley, no job opportunities and non-implementation of Central schemes that have been benefiting the common man in the rest of the country.

Sangh Parivar functionaries, including BJP workers, are working hard to reach out to the maximum number of people in the Valley as well as the Ladakh region to spread the saffron party’s message of good governance and development.

The BJP, which had failed to win any seats in the Valley so far, won three of the six Lok Sabha constituencies in this year’s general elections and had already launched “Mission 44+” for the coming Assembly elections in the state.
