Speaking out: Hindu community in Pakistan angry over inaction by police

An emergency meeting of the Hindu Panchayat was held in Sero Ram Temple in Sukkur on Friday evening to vent against the injustices being done to their community and especially the killing of two Hindu brothers in Umerkot on July 31.

The two Hindu brothers Heera Lal Malhi and Ashok Kumar Malhi were gunned down by armed robbers in Umerkot on July 31. Presiding over the meeting, Sukkur Hindu Panchayat president Mukhi Eshwar Lal Makheja expressed his grief over the wrongs being done to the Hindu community throughout Sindh. He said that despite the fact that 10 days had passed since the brutal killings of the brothers, the police had failed to arrest the culprits.
