State VHP Patron Ramakant Dubey passes away

JAMMU: Patron of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Ramakant Dubey passed away on Monday in PGI Chandigarh. He was suffering from diabetes and was under treatment in PGI. The cremation shall take place at Jogi Gate Ghat at 11:00 AM tomorrow.
Dr. Ramakant Dubey was born on 15th April 1936, completed graduation, obtained degree of RMP and started his practice. He used to provide free treatment to poor.
He was a dedicated nationalist and a strong devotee of Hinduism from the very beginning. He joined VHP and remained its State Chief for 13 years.
In a meeting of VHP held under the chairmanship of President Leela Karan Sharma, the participants expressed great shock and grief over the demise of great leader. Leela Karan said that Dubey strongly pursued the national as well as cultural cause of the countrymen.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh also expressed grief over the demise of Dr. Ramakant Dubey.
In his condolence message, the Deputy Chief Minister said the services of Dubey for the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society will be remembered for long.
He prayed for peace to the departed soul and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
