Tarun Vijay to chant Thirukural on Manasarovar shores

CHENNAI: This year at the Kailas Manasarovar Yatra, Tarun Vijay and his team of yatris will chant the ‘Thirukural’ on the shores of Lake Manasarovar, according to a press release by the BJP leader’s office. Tarun Vijay has asked the TN government to sponsor the pilgrimage of 133 Tamil youth representing the number of chapters of Thirukkural, to chant the couplets on the shores of lake Manasarovar. Calling the Kailas Yatra the world’s most ancient pilgrimage, the release quoted Tarun Vijay as saying that Lord Shiva was the first president of Tamil Sangam at Madurai and chanting the Thirukkural at Manasarovar, would represent the connect between the two.
