CHENNAI: The 69th Sankaracharya guru and head of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, on Sunday said that the jeevasamadhi of Adi Sankara is situated in Kanchipuram.

He advised the devotees over the course of his ten-minute speech on the importance of reading religious books and asked them to read mythological books like Ramayana and Srimad Bhaagavatham. “Do a lot of good work, and tread on the right path. Never tell lies,” he told them.
