Appeal to Shrikrushna Firework Industries from HJS

downloadStop pollution and denigration of Deities through fire crackers !

Mumbai :  Fir crackers with Deities pictures are being sold on www.krishnafireworks.com/contactus.html by Shrikrushna Fire Works Industries. Therefore Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, Convener of the Samiti has opposed it through a letter to Shrikrushna Fire Works Industries asking them to stop the pollution and the denigration of Deities through fire crackers. Mr. Nagesh of the industries when contacted on a telephone, said that, all manufacture fire crackers having Deities pictures on them, there is nothing wrong in it. Hearing this Mr. Vatkar told him that Hindu Jananagruti Samiti (HJS) had been engaged in the said campaign constitutionally coordinating with the manufacturers of fire crackers in Shivkashi for the last 8 years, so also the Samiti has been successful in convincing them and has forced them to put a ban on such objectionable crackers. He also told him that the Government has been asked to stop the imports of the fire crackers manufactured by China for they create pollution and comprise hazardous chemicals. After listening to all this, Mr. Nagesh said that he will talk to his head of the industries and inform accordingly.

Kind Attn. Shri. Nagesh

Dear Sirs,

Subject : Request to stop denigration of Hindu Deities and National Leader through pictures on Crackers.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is an NGO doing social, religious and Nation building work. For details please refer our websitewww.hindujagruti.org where we have successfully campaigned against crackers having pictures of Hindu deities.

There is practice of celebrating festivals like Diwali, Dussehra etc. by bursting crackers. These festivals are based on religious and pious festivals. As per Hindu religion, we should worship and get blessings from deities by celebrating the festivals e.g. obtaining blessings of worshipping Laxmi in Diwali. However, it is observed that there is denigration of deities in advertisement drama, cinema, crackers etc. There are pictures of Laxmi, Krishna, Vishnu on your products/crackers. This can be seen on this link. We have received lot of complaints from the devout Hindus. After bursting of crackers the pictures of deities & crackers are crushed into pieces and people walk on that, it comes under the wheels of vehicles and ultimately it is thrown in dustbin and gutters. Thus there is denigration of our deities and insult of National leaders. This is hurting religious feeling of Hindus which is an offense as per Indian Constitution. Further as per Indian TRADE MARKS ACT, 1999 [Act No. 47 of Year 1999 dated 30th. December, 1999] section 9, 2 (b) one can not use symbols on the product which will hurt religious sentiments.

Further we have also noticed that cracker manufacturers are putting pictures of only Hindus deities only. The reason is best known to you. Hindus have got habit of tolerating denigration, however Muslim and Christian people will immediately take action against defaulters. This also refers our discussions in this regard whereby you have agreed to discuss this issue with your authorities so as to take necessary action.

In view of above we earnestly request you to stop the practice of hurting feelings of Hindus and also patriotic feeling of about National leader. Your early reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanking You,

Shri. Shivaji Vatkar,

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
