Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has been inducted into the Advisory Board of California headquartered “The Interfaith Peace Project”, which focuses on “creating peace through interfaith understanding”.
Reverend Andrea Goodman, President of The Interfaith Peace Project, in a letter to Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, wrote: We believe your experience, wisdom and work would be a positive influence on The Interfaith Peace Project as together we work for mutual love and respect among the peoples of all faiths and the World.
Rajan Zed, who has been bestowed with “World Interfaith Leader Award”, has taken-up interfaith, religion, Roma (Gypsies) and other causes all over the world. He has read opening prayers in about 110 legislative bodies, including United States Senate and US House of Representatives in Washington DC, various State Senates and State Assemblies/Houses-of-Representatives, various County Commissions and City Councils all over USA. Many cities in USA have named October 25 as “Rajan Zed Day”. He has been panelist for “On Faith”, a prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced by The Washington Post; and leads a weekly interfaith panel “Faith Forum” in a Gannett publication for the last over five years.
According to The Interfaith Peace Project: Our cities, villages, neighborhoods are now populated with the peoples of the World. This rich and emerging diversity of experiences, ideas, and people creates a fertile opportunity for conversation, understanding, cooperation, and peace-making.
