It is popular belief that only those who have been called by Maa Vaishnodevi to receive her blessings can complete the journey to her temple. You can either walk or opt for battery operated cars (these operate only half way), palki or pony ride.

Built in the 18 century, the Siddhivinayak Temple was built in honour of Lord Ganesha who is famous as the Vignaharta, the God who removes all problems and obstacles. The temple is filled year around with devotees who come to worship the great God in all its glory with Tuesday being the holiest day to seek blessings from Ganesha. The massive structure is a thing of a beauty with the main door consisting of the eight different forms of Ganesha carved inside it.
