Islamists interrupt Vivekananda Chair inauguration in Kerala

Kottayam (Kerala), August 28: Islamic group with full support of Muslim League that held the education ministry in Kerala intentionally interrupted the formal inauguration of Swami Vivekananda Chair which has been already started functioning at Mahatma Gandhi University campus in Kottayam, Kerala.

The chair is headed by Professor O. M. Mathew who is very credible in his educational life all over Kerala.
Prof Mathew is associated with Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram.

As per the instruction of Vice-Chancellor Dr. A. V. George, the inauguration of the chair has been fixed on September 3 by Her Highness Lakshmi Devi, Princess of Travancore. This program has now cancelled following the protest from Islamic syndicate members and other political intervention. A seminar slated for September 12 was also cancelled by the University due to same reason.

It may be mentioned that the two ABVP activists Vishal and Sachin Gopal were allegedly murdered last year by the rival Campus Front which is a strong Islamic organization and the student wing of Popular Front of India.
