The accusation made against the Mamata government from this desk for the past few months has now being echoed all over Bengal. The increasing reliance on the muslim vote has lead to the complete ignorance of not only the concerns of the common Hindus but is also gradually infringing on the basic human-rights of the Hindus in the state. Rape and murder is now a common phenomenon in Bengal. But it is the selective approach from the CM, the purchased Bengali media and the self-proclaimed civil society that is alienating the Hindus of the state.
On 07/06/13 in the village of Kamduni, just 10km from the New Kolkata township of Rajarhat, 20 year old Mamoni (name changed to conceal the victim’s identity) was brutally gang raped by 5 henchmen of a notorious TMC MP Haji Nurul Islam in broad day light. Much like the rape and gruesome murder of Delhi’s Nirbhaya, Mamoni too was first raped and then her legs were torn apart. All the accused in this case were local muslim lumpens and supporters of the fanatic TMC MP Haji Nurul.
This is the same Haji Nurul who is being accused of leading a mob of some 800 lumpen muslims in September 2010 in a place called Deganga in North 24 Pargana district and desecrated Hindu temples, looting & burning Hindu houses, assaulting men & women and urinating over the Hindu idols. This time again, just after the incident was reported the same Haji Nurul along with some other Trinmool leaders visited the village and tried to belittle the incident and attempted to intimidate the locals. They wanted the family members of Mamoni to withdraw the case against their party activists against some monitory compensation. But this was outrightly rejected by Mamoni’s two brothers and father. The villagers also gathered in good numbers and started agitating against the TMC leaders. To this Haji Nurul and others took to a quick retreat. Latter the government announced job for one of Mamoni’s brother in an attempt to pacify the agitating Hindus, which too was rejected by the family. This attempt exposed the outright communal mind-set of Mamata Banerjee. The CM is so much concerned for the enblock muslim vote and so much depended on the fanatic jihadi elements of the community that she has even started overlooking their communal and criminal deeds at the cost of governance and rule of law.
The CM even didn’t issue a single statement so far over this incident. As this report is being compiled reports just reaching us that the Chief Minister has finally visited the village of Kamduni amidst massive protest by the women folks of the village. Eyewitness claims that Mamata has been involved in personal spat with the village women. The self-proclaimed Bengali intellectuals that doesn’t loose an opportunity to shed tears over Gujarat even 11 years of the infamous Gujarat riots suddenly found their dairies preoccupied.
Meanwhile on 14th June a RSS backed civil society body ‘Sachetan Nagrik Manch’ organized a Silent March from College Square to Syambazar crossing demanding capital punishment for the culprits. Another candle light march was organized by the same organization in Thakurnagar, North 24 Parganas on 16/6/13 in which ex-MP and CPM leader Dr. Asim Bala was in attendance. RSS Prant-Prachar Pramukh Sri Subrata Chatterjee while speaking with me has said that the fact that even with their humble income, Mamoni’s parents and brothers have rejected the government inducements of money and job holds dear to the moral and spiritual upliftment of Hindus being propagated by Sangh in its mission towards ‘Param Vaibhav’ for this nation.
