New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Suresh Soni on Sunday compared the verdict delivered by Indian voters on May 16 to the country’s independence from British rule.
Soni said, “When the results came out on May 16, it was similar to the day when Britishers left the Indian land on August 16, 1947.”
BJP registered a record victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections by attaining 282 Lok Sabha seats on its own and decimating Congress to a two-digit tally.
