MP: RSS chief asks youth to alleviate people’s sufferings

Flag_of_Rashtriya_Swayamsevak_SanghRashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat asked youth in Jabalpur Wednesday to work to alleviate the sufferings of people.

He was addressing a function organised for college students on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, according to a brief statement from the RSS. The event was not open to the media.

According to sources, Bhagwat asked the students to work hard. People have to work hard in life to get all the things they need, he was quoted as saying.

He cited the example of a lion that has to hunt for its meal despite being considered the king of the jungle, the sources said.

More than 1,200 college students and 150 teachers participated in the function held at MLB Girls School. The RSS organizes six such functions every year to create awareness about social responsibility among youth.

After attending the function, Bhagwat left for Sagar, where he will stay till January 18. At Sagar, he will participate in several events, including a meet of senior functionaries of the RSS from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

On January 15, he will participate in a meeting of several labour organizations, including Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. On January 18, he will address a meeting in the sports complex at Sagar.
