
On Thursday evening some anti social elements from nearby areas thrown body parts of a cow inside a local Hindu temple of God Shani. This action enraged the local Hindu community, who on Friday morning came down on the streets to protest against the culprits and demand their arrest. According to several sources when the local Hindus were protesting, some people from other community came out with sticks and clubs as a clash broke out between the two communities.

“Communal tension at Duttapukur, North 24 Parganas as some miscreants, allegedly, put beef in a Shani temple. Hindus have come on road demanding exemplary punishment for culprits. Huge police force has been deployed in the area,” said one Twitter user.
“Communal tension at Duttapukur in Bengal as some miscreants put beef in a Shani temple. When Hindus took the road demanding punishment of culprits, crude bombs were hurled at them by jihadis. Cops without arresting culprits, is threatening Hindus with dire consequences,” alleged another Twitter user.
Duttapukur is a census town under Barasat I (community development block) of Barasat sadar subdivision in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Even in past, communal clashes have taken place in Duttapukur area. The growing communal tension across the state is something the Mamata Banerjee Government should be worried about. There have been no statements from government or administration about the clashes yet
