Kottayam: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed displeasure over the ‘Che Guevara remark’ made by BJP National Executive Committee member and former state president C K Padmanabhan.
Padmanabhan has contested BJP state Secretary A N Radhakrishnan’s criticism of Che Guevara, stating that those who do not know about the revolutionary icon must read the Bolivian Diary. The RSS is learned to have conveyed its stance to the BJP leadership.  According to RSS, Che Guevara should not be made a role-model.

RSS has told BJP that the party’s leaders should do an introspection as the controversial statements have adversely affected the party’s image. Padmanabhan had also supported director Kamal, taking an entirely contradicting stance with that of Radhakrishnan. The BJP will discuss these recent developments at the State Council meet that begins in Kottayam today.
