RSS takes out massive path sanchalan to mark Vijaya Dashmi

takeUjjain : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers on Friday took out their traditional ‘path-sanchalan’ (route march) here to mark the festival of Dussehra.

The path sanchalan was taken out from Mahakalpuram Saraswati Higher Secondary School, passed through Kshirsagar, Shastri Nagar, Lokmanya Tilak School, Indira Nagar School and finally converged at Mahakalpuram. More than 2000 Sangh volunteers participated in the sanchalan. At various places citizens and social organisations accorded floral welcome to the Path Sanchalan.

The Swayam Sevaks, holding saffron flags marched in three lines. People from various places gathered at squares and roadsides to see the disciplined Path Sanchalan. At the public programme held at various places.

Underlining the prayer of RSS, leaders said that the Sangh, through its daily Shakhas, discusses among the child, youth and aged Swayam Sevaks about the country, problems and its solutions.

This work of the Shakha inspires the Swayam Sevaks towards the glory of the country. Thousands of citizens teemed on both sides of the entire stretch of roadway to welcome Swayamsevaks with flowers, slogans and saffron flags.

Slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai reverberated eternally. Volunteers also performed Shastra Pujan on the day. Elaborate security arrangements had been made by the city police, while also ensuring that there was no major disruption in the traffic movement.

Sanchalan route was changed at last moment by RSS officials. Leaking sewage lines at Chattri Chowk and Chamunda Mata Square had created pools of water on roads. When path sanchalan of Keshav Nagar reached Chattri Chowk area they had to re route the march and had to take alternative path to reach Kanthal Square.
