RSS wing holds event at Bapu’s Navajivan

AHMEDABAD: Vishwa Samvad Kendra, the media wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), held an event to felicitate local journalists at a hall of Navajivan Publication Trust on Sunday. The trust was formed by Mahatma Gandhi in 1929 to propagate peaceful means for the attainment of Hind Swaraj.
The event was organized as part of the birth anniversary celebrations of Hindu Vedic sage Narad who is considered the first journalist of the universe by the RSS. Local journalist Vishnu Pandya, who was recently awarded Padma Shri, was felicitated by the state head of RSS Mukesh Malkan. The event also witnessed felicitation of two local journalists of a Gujarati daily and a vernacular periodical. Vivek Desai, managing trustee of Navajivan, said that the hall was given on rent following a request from a friend.
