Colombo : A 35 year-old British woman will be sent back to Britain by Sri Lankan Government for getting Bhagavan Buddha tattooed on her hand as Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country. She has been accused of insulting Buddhism. This woman went to Colombo from Mumbai when she was taken into custody by officers at the international airport. Similar incident had taken place last year when a British citizen was sent back for his tattoo. In 2012, 3 French citizens were detained in jail for doing objectionable act in front of a statue of Buddha.
