The main reason why China developed so well and so fast, is the fact that they did not have and do not yet have, the kind of free media that we have in India.
Conversely, the reason why India has not reached anywhere near China, in spite all the efforts, is that we have here a kind of free media that destroys everything.
As long as we have these gutter journalists, mostly originating from Delhi, you can forget about our country going anywhere near China, even in the distant future!!! The media will ensure that we remain in the dump.
Nationalize the media, and I assure you that we will soon hit a GDP growth rate of over 12%!!!
They are an ignorant crude lot- immature to the core, lacking enough knowledge of our past, not able to comprehend the present, and not capable of visualizing the future .They are the Diploma-in-Journalism stuff -from third rate money making schools of journalism- playing smart Alecs and Alices.
Empty vessels sound the most!! To add to the decibel level, they always have at hand a gang of panelists- I suppose a jobless lot- fighting like street
dogs on the screen.
Did you know that there is a lot of money in Article 19 of the Indian Constitution- Freedom of Speech.This freedom has helped to make many millionaires in India.
Gone are the days when even senior journalists used to trvel by bus or train. I know of a journalist in Mangalore, who was the Chief Editor of a weekly, who actually used to walk to his press and walk back home-a distance of over 4 kilometers!!!
Journalists in those days were sensible, mature, sober and were well read; not like the
yapping hoodlums of the present day,
Frankly, we don’t need all these news channels and even news papers-so many of them
yapping away nonsense 24×7. Increase the fee for each channel to over Rs. 200 p.m
so that they can probably meet their natural death.
Almost all I spoke to, -there were many-, are all disgusted with the Indian media.
If they are not nationalized, they will continue to cause chaos -political, social,religious,
cultural, economic- in the country thwarting all good work for the nation’s growth.
We have the good old DD- an excellent channel for those who want news.!
IN ALL THESE, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS; BUT, AS THEY SAY, EXCEPTIONS
PROVE THE RULE!!
