DHAKA, BANGLADESH, September 17, 2017 (Dhaka Tribune): India’s Tripura state will be supplying additional power to Bangladesh on the occasion of Durga Puja. Tripura’s Power Minister Manik Dey confirmed the matter and said: “Of the total power requirement of 450MW, Tripura would need 300MW for its own consumption while 150MW will go to Bangladesh.” He said Bangladesh generally receives 160MW of power from Tripura but the country would get an additional 150MW during Puja.
