First-ever Bathukamma festival celebrated with devotion after formation of Telangana State during Durga Navarathri period got better with the fete turning a State festival and Government announcing holidays for all educational institutions. Colourful flowers gave a pleasing look to all the Bathukammas prepared by individual women and for community celebrations. The Hindu photographer G.N.
