One of Britain’s most influential Asians is visiting Northampton College on Friday night.
Keith Vaz, Labour MP for Leicester East and Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee, is coming to the college to help the town’s Hindu community raise money for a new temple.
The visit is being organised by Northampton North MP and Conservative politician Michael Ellis, who said this event is non party political.
Mr Ellis said: “This visit is part of the fundraising activities for the hindu community to build a new temple.
“I asked Keith to come because we are both in the Home Affairs Select Committee in Parliament.
“This is an event which is non-party political and is about raising money to help the Northampton Hindu community.”
