Meet to favour sustainable existence of Hindus

PONDA: Clarifying that Hindus are not against any religion, the 145th Pithadeeshwar of Sree Govardhan Mutt Puri, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswatirevealed that the Marcaim Dharma Sabha would insist on sustainable existence of Hindus in India by considering the welfare of other religions too. “We want a nation of well cultured, educated and charitable people or community,” he said.

Sree Nischalanand Saraswati Maharaj is in Goa to address a ‘Dharma Sabha’, mass religious awakening meet at the Marcaim village panchayat ground, on Sunday evening.

Speaking to reporters at Ramnathi-Ponda on Saturday evening, Nischalanand Saraswati Maharaj also expressed his apprehension over deforestation. Urban townships are springing up at the cost of deforestation and destruction of villages. This has led to regression and downfall in certain countries. The ecological balance is being ruined and the world is heading towards destruction, he said.

‘Jitne nagar aap banayenge, utane Hindu apni sankriti se dur jayenge’ (Hindus would go away from their culture with the springing up of the townships), he said.

Claiming that political parties have no will power, he said the two major political parties in the country, Congress and the BJP, are luring people of the nation by showing them carrots of so-called development. The people also seem to be hypnotized by these false assurances. This so-called fake development is taking the nation and the world towards destruction, the Hindu religious leader said.

“When the western nations, including US, UK, etc. realize that this development is fake, they will turn to adopt the ideology of development as prescribed by the Sanatan Vedic Dharma. Then Bharatiyas (Indians) will emulate them. The Sanatan Vedic Dharma emphasizes on the welfare of all that is present in nature,” Sreemad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami said while answering questions put up by members ofthe press.
